Brief
To provide consulting structural engineering services in relation to the hosting of a Zipslide charity event which involves individuals riding a cable “zipslide” at a height of 20m over the arena.
Aim
To assess the existing structures proposed to support the temporary rigging and provide sign-off to Lambeth Building Control as part of the approval process.
Solution
The preferred “flight path” of the zipslide was achieved by identifying appropriate rigging points that could accommodate the design loads.
