The two projects incorporated the demolition of existing structures on two city blocks and the construction of six new mixed-use buildings. New facilities included basement car parking, ground floor retail space, residential apartments and high specification offices. The buildings varied in height from 6 to 9 storeys including basement levels.
Responsibilities included:
• Liaison with client, design consultants, builder, fabricators and local authorities.
• Structural analysis, scheme & detailed design of structural elements in steel, reinforced concrete and masonry.
• Management and supervision of draftsmen and junior design engineers.
• Co-ordination of building services with respect to the structure.
• Review of pre-cast concrete and structural steel fabrication drawings.
