Brief
To construct a new 3-storey home to the end of an existing row of terraced homes.
Aim
Whilst featuring an open-plan and modern finish the client required the new-build to be designed and detailed to obtain: an NHBC Warranty, Thames Water approval, Party Wall Award and Building Control approval.
Solution
The use of all major building materials was employed; reinforced concrete to the sub-structure and a combination of structural steel, load-bearing masonry and timber-framing to walls and roof.
