Brief
To add an additional level to a two-storey Victorian warehouse to form the penthouse apartment with roof-top terrace as part of a larger re-development.
Aim
To design a timber framed solution to minimise weight and to overcome the access restrictions by allowing assembly of panels on the existing roof.
Solution
Sheathed timber framed walls supported engineered floor joists to achieve long spans and maintaining vertical alignment with existing support walls.
